About Fake Cuban Cigars (Warning!!!)

Today there is a big problem about Cigars, their Fakes circulating around the market... Since most of the Cuban Cigars are expensive, the evil entrepeneurs have found an opportunity for earning money by faking them and selling them as a really cheap price can be recognized easilly, but can make it to be attracted from entrepeneur Cigar Aficionado's which will make them to get Fake Cigars according to its price, taste etc... because of unexperienced cigar past. In this blogpost, I will give information about Fake Cigars and will share my own experience about fake (counterfeit) cigars.

Fake Cigars are mostly crafted from 1-2 Dollar per stick Farm Roll cigars, probably from alternative cheap Cigar producting regions like Dominican Republic, Nicaragua etc... Since the size types of Cigars are similar (like Robusto which is 48 to 50 rings and 12cm long), they add the replicated brand ring to the cigar and replicated package, which isnt a hard job if you have knowledge about theese cigars, replicated package paintings etc... Mostly they are selled at their value which is 1-2 Dollar per stick, standard farm roll dominican/nicaraguan cigars price, just think like a Farm Roll Cigar but with Cohiba or other Luxurious Cuban Cigar labeled. This is not totally a Scam since the Cigar is as its own price at its value (you get what you give)... You get a regular cigar at its worth price. But it is a scam if it is sold at Original or High price.

Fake Cigars are also common in Cuba which is the main provider of Cohiba, Montecristo etc... Habanos brands are the most preferred production of Fake Cigars due to their Price.

A Youtube Video about Fake Cuban Cigars. Cohiba Robusto Fake as an example...

For example if you get scammed, you gave 15 usd/stick for a Cigar that is actually 2Usd per stick, only just for its Replicated label ring and package. Just remove the ring and you see that it is actually a cheap farm roll Dominican cigar...Since the fake cigars are common at market right now, some honest fake cigar sellers are telling that the cigar is fake, indicates that Cigar is Dominican but with Brand Labeled, and selling at its own price, actual of that Dominican Cigar's worth...

Ways to Find a Cigar is Fake

1. Rolling and Cap: Rolling quality and Design of Cap is one of the primary way to Identify a Cigar is fake... Cap of the Cigar is identification for the cigars... Also the slim and non spaced rolling of the Cigar means that the Cigar is crafted by a Experienced/Original Craftmanship.
Triple Cap method for Cohiba Robusto's... Otherwise are fake...

2.Package: Mostly Packages are identical but sometimes they are releasing irrevelant packages...Here is an example of a fake Cohiba package with glass. Cohiba never sells their Cigar like this:

Fake Cigar Sellers in Mexico are selling theese fake Cohiba packs at Glass Wooden Package at Beaches as reported in Cigar Forums...

Fake Cohiba Behike 10's Box which is easy to make identical and sell it like Original... Also Habanos label and Hologram Sticker is identical since it is a paperwork can be done...

As an Example In Turkey, I had fake Cohiba Robusto's and Siglo VI as my fake Cohiba Cigar experience. The Cigars were at 5 packs that Cohiba didnt used at theese models. I was sure that Cohiba sells Robusto's on 25's pack. Also they were selling other models like Siglo VI at 5 packs which made me to sure that the Cigars were fake:

Fake Cohiba Siglo VI , 5packs which Cohiba did only used at Siglo I Models.

Also there were fake Behike's with different ring gauges too...You can research the packaging attributes to identify if your purchased Cigar is fake or not according to the packaging.

3.Ring Label: The quality and design of the Ring label can let you identify if your Cigar is fake or not...

In image here , the left one is a bad quality printed Ring Label. At Right one we see the Original one, with a really quality Hologrammed Ring...

Please do not make sure with the Quality and Identical Appearance of the Ring Label. Theese are paperwork which can be done identically by doing some work... It is really easy to copy theese while making fake Cigars...

4.Irrevelant Models: Some fake Cigar producers are creating irrevelant models from Original Cigars but with the same brand in order to sell and make more money. You can ensure it by looking to the other Cigars that the seller available...

Like here, Cohiba doesnt have a model with named "Long Piramides". We can see that here, the Seller just put a cheap Farm Roll Cigar into replicated Cohiba Ring label and packaged it to a Replicated Cohiba 5s Box with random name...

5.Burn Problems: Burning problems like canoeing etc... can be the results of a fake cigar due to cheap craftmanship (rolling etc...) and inappropriate storage...

Burn Problems that can be born because of counterfeit Cigars...

6. Store: You need to make sure the Store is a Authentic seller. You can make sure it is an Authentic Habanos seller which is the Offical Seller of Cohiba, Romeo and Juliet Cigars etc... Even some of Cigar Buyers have reported some Hotels that sell fake Cohiba in Cuba...

La Casa Del Habanos is an Authenticated Habanos seller you can find Worldwide, which is a perfect place to buy Original Cigars. Do not spend your hard earned money on untrusted dealers...

My Experience: I smoked fake Cohiba Cigars firstly when I was unexperienced about Cigars. I smoked fake Cohiba Cigars.I smoked Robusto and Siglo VI Fakes... Siglo VI Was identical with its size, but the cap and rolling was as a regular handrolled cigar realisingly fake from Original Siglo VI. They were well produced Dominican Farm Roll Cigars... Taste was creamy and petal which is a standard notes for a Dominican Regular Cigar. Price was 2USD per stick , selling at 5s box which Cohiba didnt used at Robusto and Siglo VI Models. It was same experience with 25s pack unbranded Dominican Robusto Bundle Cigar I owned, within taste and smoking... The price was also same...

Shortly for cheap fake Cigars, I dont recommend you to support its fakes, since theese cigars are patented for their Brand Loyality with their collection of Wide History, Craftmanships, Work etc... Theese companies are regret that Cost and we must respect them... If you Cannot afford theese Luxury Cigar Brands, you can Explore Thousands of Handmade Cheap Cigars from Cuba or other alternative countries, like Jose L. Piedra which is an affordable Cuban Cigar, being alternative to the Luxury brands like Cohiba, Romeo Juliet etc...
